The book "From the era of great reforms" by Grigory Avetovich Dzhanshiev, published in 1892, is a collection of historical references devoted to the key reforms of the second half of the XIX century in Russia. The author examines in detail the abolition of serfdom, the abolition of corporal punishment, censorship reform and judicial reform. Particular attention is paid to the role of the Tver nobility in peasant reform, as well as the personality of A. M. Unkovsky, chairman of the Tver provincial committee, who actively advocated the liberation of peasants with the provision of their land. The publication contains stamps of libraries, including the "Library of the Institute", and handwritten notes on the pages, which gives it additional historical value.
