Here is the description of this Atlas: "This Atlas is actually intended for distribution to the Houses of State Estates, District and Volost Administrations, and to special institutions under the Ministry; for rural societies it is published in abbreviated form and consists of from the following branches and drawings." Figures 5 and 6 show an extended and abbreviated edition. The Atlas itself was issued on the instructions of His Minister of State Property, Siiatelstva G. to improve rural buildings in the ex-housing villages. In preparing it, the Commission, which was specially established under the Department, under the chairmanship of the True Statistic Adviser of Zablocski, recognized the need to examine first and foremost the significant shortcomings of the current rural structures, as well as the projects normally proposed for them, and to set the beginnings that should guide the preparation of the Atlas, in accordance with the objectives and methods of the peasant welfare.
