With the attachment of the letters of A. Blok to M.P. Ivanova and the "Petersburg poem" of Blok. Circulation 4200. Moscow - Leningrad Academy of Sciences of the USSR 1936 133 p. Cover: Hardcover; Format: Small. In the history of Blok’s ideological and friendly ties, his relations with Yevgeny Pavlovich Ivanov should be given special attention. It can be argued that among Blok's friends there was not one that the poet loved with such tenderness and constancy as Yevgeny Pavlovich. "You are one of my most beloved in the world," Blok wrote to him in 1905. E.P. Ivanov, in turn, recalls his “dog devotion” to Blok and his family. The meaning and content of this friendship is difficult to understand without forming an idea of the personality of E. P. Ivanov, his life and way of thinking. It should be borne in mind that Evgeny Ivanov was one of those people in whom their human style is almost more important than their ideological orientation and the external facts of their biography. Evgeny Pavlovich Ivanov is a man of a pronounced religious warehouse, a member of the St. Petersburg religious and philosophical meetings of the 1900s and 1910s, a member of the Free Philosophical Association, a sporadic employee of symbolist publications and a children's writer. His thoughts about the automatism of civilization (essentially bourgeois), about the dead mirror of modern consciousness (essentially decadent), about the evil, "demonic" soul of the city (from our point of view - capitalist), if not in form, then in internal sense corresponded to the coverage of these topics in the work of advanced writers of the era, in particular, Blok.
